Dr. Michael Courtney, a Massachusetts native, was born in Winchester, MA. He completed his undergraduate education at Boston University where he remained for his dental training. He attended Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he received his D.M.D. Dr. Courtney went on to complete an integrated six year oral and maxillofacial surgery program. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. In his residency Dr. Courtney served as chief resident, and completed the program in 2018. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is in the process of becoming an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is actively working towards becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of the Milford Regional Medical Center Staff.
Dr. Courtney practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, which includes dental extractions, orthodontic exposures/bonding procedures, implant rehabilitation, hard/soft tissue grafting, temporomandibular joint disorders, oral pathology, reconstructive surgery, facial trauma, and orthognathic surgery His extensive training allows him to provide complete patient comfort through the utilization of general anesthesia and state of the art patient monitoring
In his free time, Dr. Courtney enjoys playing golf, ice hockey and spending time with friends and family.
